Surfaces are great ... for running Windows 8.1 Pro, not "Metrosexual-Modern" crapplets from the M$ $tore. Surface RT, which is limited to crapplets, went over like a lead balloon.

It might matter if you're the 0.1% of users that use Windows Phone. The only sad thing is that the Nokia phones (with great cameras) have moved to Windows Phone, which is very much a dealbreaker for me since I can't stand the interface nor being limited to M$'s walled prison.
