A. Watch tv.
B. Read.
These are tough to do once you get above a certain level of effort, so I usually stay on the treadmill for a shorter time at a higher level of effort. Sometimes though I'll hit the stationary bike for 40 or 45 minutes and spend the first 30 or so reading a book while putting out a pretty moderate effort.
