My feeling is the "blue" hides any contaminents better than "yellow", esp. due to the high FSS intervals.

While preparing tech materials for the STAR I ran across this little tech bulletin.

ALL PASSENGER CAR MODELS, COOLANT: For your information, recently the factory started using TWO kinds of engine coolant anti-freeze. The
original one is tinted yellowish and the new one is tinted bluish. Both coolant anti-freezes are compatible with each other.
