An old story - When it was time to go forward with the technically-challenging paint job for the Mako Shark, the GM 60's show car, chief stylist Bill Mitchell decreed that the colors had to match the stuffed shark mounted on the wall of his office. The painters painted the car several times, with Mitchell declining to accept their work each time, claiming that the car colors did not match the shark's iridescent hues. Finally, out of deviousness/desperation, the painters broke into Mitchell's office, stole the shark, repainted it, and placed it back on the wall. A few days later Mitchell approved the car's paint job, as it now matched the shark's colors perfectly...
