My tach has not worked on the car since I've owned it. It Explains why the belt failure going down the highway happened. I didn't know they were connected. Tried to get it fixed a few years back and the mechanic told me it couldn't be fixed. After towing this car 83 miles home I wish I'd broke down and bought a new one. Thank you for info.
