I see in the owners manual it should be able to raise/lower. With that switch I can go forward/backward and tilt by turning the same switch. I don't see how it would be physically possible to move the switch up and down on a horizontal plane.

I have the pre-1990 switch that has the springs/balls inside. Is there a trick to this, or can the seat really not raise/lower?
