Can I bend your ear?

Did a diesel purge a few days ago and frankly not really impressed, but I did notice the engine sounded alot better with DP in it than regular diesel. I understand that DP is a higher cetane/other stuff and its common to sound this way.

I have a knock that went away while running DP, but came right back after I changed the filters and ran it on regular diesel. This leads me to believe its a combo of many things, but fuel and fuel injectors are probably right at the top of the list. Thoughts and suggestions: open to all but have limited mech skills.

Also, did a basic blow by test-oil cap loose- and thought it did well again any comment welcome. This is trying to follow up on a good bit of oil on the head from the manifold and trying to figure out if its the CCV/engine or a turbo seal. Very basic tests that may or may not show anything.

Thanks for your ears and eyes.

PS When changing filters dont do what I did and make sure the main filter is filled all the way with diesel or other appropriate fluid before starting D'OH (l've read people using all sorts of stuff in a pinch.
