my sister did several years as a teach for america special ed teacher in MS before becoming a lawyer. She dealt with 12-14 year olds usually.
She said A- that the teaching school she attended as part of the program was pretty irrelevant to the reality of teaching, past things like organization
B- that teaching is a hell of a lot harder than attending a highly rated and competitive law school.
and C- that if you dont have the personality to control the classroom, you are in trouble.
