None of my 3 w201 diesels ever had a mount that looked quite like that one.

That being said-- its my experience that the mount of the fuel delivery side gets dosed in diesel and softens with age so it looks and is shorter than it should be. I have used a short prybar to rock the engine mount enough to slide the new mount in. Do this before you tighten up the exhaust side mount.
