I heard it discussed, but I've never heard of it being done. I think people worry about getting the grease line too hot. Two tank systems I hear of are generally, coolant heated or electrically heated, or both. Both of these systems benefit from a thermostat- coolant temp is regulated by the engine thermostat and the electric heaters can be made from Positive temperature coefficient (PTC) elements that self-regulate to a specified temperature.
