I have already replaced my fan bearing bracket with a Febi one and found out that same thing. I thought it was a metal washer, but figured out it was an o-ring after it crumbled. I'm going to take lots of pics.
How much more difficult is it to get the oil pan off? Couldn't hurt to check for nuts and bolts floating around in there....
I had planned to order loctite 5900 from pelican.
