OK... this may have already been posted, but I couldn't find an "ultimate" thread for 98-99 ML320 Tires and Rims so here it is.

Like many of you, I have an 1999 ML320 and would like to find some affordable tires. Unfortunately, the rims on the 1998s and 1999s are suited for the hard to find 255/65/R16 tires.

I'm actually more interested in buying 17" inch rims for my ML320 since these tires are easy to find. Has anybody used 17" successfully on the 1998-1999 body style?

I've heard some tires rub and I want to avoid this. Do I need to buy 17" Mercedes ML rims or will other Mercedes 17" rims work?
