There is a 3.5 motor for sale locally for $1500 with transmission and all parts and accessories. There are lots of Dakota's for sale $1000. Assuming I paid full price. That is still only $2500.

Do you think it would fit in the engine bay? I have a friend with a 3.0 5 cylinder turbo Mercedes engine in a Durango and the fan is close to the radiator and the oil filter is tough to get to but it works good. As a second question could I change the location of the oil filter or change to a different oil filter all together?
