OK just Filled the Transmission to about the proper amount. I put the car in Drive and reverse to circulate the fluid. I backed out of the drive and as soon as it shifted both lights went out
. I don't know where the fluid went but with 130K on it I will be a happy camper. Grand total 4 Qts ATF.

Paul I will be going to the shop and getting a diag. of all systems. The main thing now, is that it's not in Limp mode so I can drive it to the shop.
Now I can order the dipstick and be sure of the level. I can't believe that MB didn't put one in and lock it like the cover.
