Nope sorry they are two completely different animals.

You have the D2B fiber system on a 1999.

1996-1998 (and I think the last of the 124s) had a 10-pin control harness that has analog audio and digital status/control over a serial link.

If you have no other use for them, contact Ed at Becker Auto Sound. They are looking to buy cores, working or not, for spare parts or to refurbish to sell. Likewise he probably has the correct changer in stock to sell you.

Note however that you have to use the HHT or Star DAS to tell the system that you have added the (fiber optic) CD changer or it won't recognize it.

The analog 10-pin unit just has to be plugged in to work with a compatible receiver.
