My W115 is a 1975 model, and was re-imported to Europe in 1980, I don't know if from US or Canada, but is a US version.
About the AC, do you have some pictures from the lower part of the AC box, near the gear lever, I need to see where the drain pipes go, maybe there is a hole in each side of the transmission tunnel?

PS: I attach a picture with a AC box with some electric wires attached on the left that I also don't know what are they for. I don't see any wires coming from inside to the engine compartment near the gas pipes on your pictures...
