The engine will fit. The block for 220, 230, 250 and 280 are the same size. You will be going from a 2.5 liter to a 2.2 liter engine, which means less horsepower. Your transmission should bolt up.

Like Scooter, I installed a 280S motor in my 220Sb car.

My 2.2 liter engine was seized when I got the car. I put an ounce of transmission fluid in each spark plug hole and let it sit for a week. Then I used a socket with ratchet and 3 foot section of pipe for leverage to hand turn the motor. Then the motor ran with fresh gas from a satellite can. You definitely want to change oil immediately after getting the motor un-seized. And check your oil at EVERY gas fill up. These engines use oil. Not uncommon to go through quarts between oil changes.
