There were a couple of gotchas when I went put the 280S engine into the 250S body. The ones that I can think of are a) oil cooler - you'll need the one from the 250S since the 280S is expecting it to be part of the radiator b) smog pump vs. power steering, etc. Some of the stuff is in a different location and you may need the brackets from the 250S to install the stuff right on the 280S engine. Not sure what is different about the trans cooler - I think it might be the same.
