I have done this four times. The problem I repeatedly encounter is Mercedes substituting between the plugs that are used on the bottom of the door and fender cladding. There are two different plugs but the EPC gives the same number. The door plug has a shallower profile but I have gotten both kinds under the same number.

Front fender cladding
Grommet for the fender. 6. 001 988 76 81
Upper clip also for dogleg. 8. 005 988 38 78
Lower plug also for dogleg 8. 001 997 41 86

Door cladding
Upper clip. 20. 005 988 40 78
Lower plug. 18. 001 997 41 86

There some other parts not so prone to failure, just getting lost. I have the numbers for those as well but have accumulated so many spares just let me know if you need some. I can also give you 8 new lower plugs for the fender and dogleg since I got twenty of those last time I ordered door plugs and you will have them to compare when you order door plugs. Charlie
