240D Backup light switch 4 speed standard

I found the perfect solution to the bad backup light switch in my 1983 Mercedes 240 D Four speed standard transmit ion. The switch was found at Ace Hardware. It was a refrigerator momentary plunger switch made by Midwest Fastener Corp part # 65266 and the Ace price was $4.54. It snapped in from the front of the circular housing instead of from the rear the way the original switch was installed. I was able to use a common blue spade connector to connect it to the factory plug by removing the blue crimp plastic and spreading the round end to fit the size of the plug. I used a small piece of heat shrink on the spade end so that no contacts were exposed.
I found the same switch on EBAY
(Eaton 65266 Momentary Contact Switch Normally Off New Plunger Refrigerator) for $15.00.
