We have a Nilfisk canister Hepa vac circa 1997 that I got as we were doing lead abatement in the house we owned. It has been used as a shop vac and if it fits in the hose it will get sucked up. Best for bare floors. I never plan on buying another; my wife hates it as cumbersome and heavy but it has outlasted evey lesser think she has brought home including Dyson and eureka.
