A quick trick to try that has worked many times for me over the years. While holding the switch to the down position with the ignition on, tap the window motor with a small hammer a few times. If this works and the motor runs, replace the motor ASAP because it WILL do it again. If it doesn't work it has only cost you a few seconds.
