Took the opportunity to take some pics. Gotta drop the pan to complete the job. Plan on having up to 4 quarts available to fill transmission up upon completion of the job and follow the transmission service procedure for that aspect of it.

Issue I was having was a leak from the black plastic connector where you see the white connector fastened to on the drivers side, lower rear of the transmission. Replacing it is a pretty simple job.

You can see the complete piece in the second picture showing where the boot has pulled away allowing it to leak.

From the outside, turn the white piece counterclockwise as you are looking towards the rear of the transmission (from the outside) and just pull it out. I have laid the old and new piece side by side to show what I am calling the connector. I think MB calls it a linkage, p/n 140 270 13 65. You will also need p/n 140 997 36 45 which is the o-ring for the pin (more later).
