Keep something in mind. In another post you say the plugs only fire one time for each cylinder and then the firing stops. If the ignition is not firing, the fuel pump(s) won't run either. I am beginning to think you have an ECU or EZL problem. I may be wrong (if I am, please let me know) but I believe the EZL will fire for 1 revolution and then the ECU takes over and tells the EZL when to fire or that it is OK to fire.
It has been a while since I have worked on one of these systems but I would start by checking for codes in the ECU to see if it is responsive.
Also, I seem to remember reading that the ECU can turn the fuel off for deceleration to conserve fuel and lower emissions. Maybe it will also turn fuel off if the ignition is not firing to keep the engine from getting flooded.
All of the above is just to get members thinking about other things that can be causing these symptoms.
