You've done a good service here testifying how far South things can go buying-sight-unseen. I've done it - once, but was fortunate on the deal in my merchandise bought from across the Country. I doubt I'll ever do it again.

There's an old bromide when dealing with a retailer - "when you don't know the merchandise, you better know the dealer."

You knew neither. That makes any recouping and recourse of financial damages almost impossible.
