So, I've been a little lazy today...Still don't have the drive shaft in. Just wasn't feeling too motivated today. It was nice and sunny out, I decided to sit outside and enjoy the sun a little, instead of being underneath a car.

I did however get the new bushing in. Figured I might as well, since I had a feeling it might be somewhat of a struggle. I wasn't able to hammer it in by hand. It kept going crooked, no matter what I tried, and it wouldn't go in very far. I greased it up, tapped in on the sides, but it wouldn't go.

So, talked to my buddy who had a very good. He said: Why don't we make a press using the old flex disc?

Good thing I hadn't thrown it away yet.

So for anyone attempting to push that bushing in and having a hard time with a rubber hammer or a block of wood, here's how you can do it. All thanks to my smart friend, because he came up with it.

- Get three long bolts. Mine were 5 1/5" long. Not sure about the thickness, they are the same size as the original flex disc bolts.
- Get 6 3/8 washers you can put on the drive shaft side and on the flex disc side
- Get two big washers that can sit over the middle hole of the flex disc. These will push against the bushing.

Total cost is like 5 bucks.

Then attach it like this:

I did three half turns per bolt, and repeated this in a circular motion until 10 minutes later the bushing was pushed in straight.

After that I went back to enjoying the sun. I'll put the drive shaft back tomorrow.

Really, I will.

Promise.
