In all practicality, the light isn't needed. If brake pressure becomes unbalanced due to a leak, you will feel the pedal drop. I haven't come across a car ( regardless of make ) where the light was on and pressures OK unless there was a leak, it was fixed and ,on some cars, the switch reset.
