While chasing the real mileage of 2 engines at a salvage yard, I came across this resource. It isn't 100% but it is something.

For the back story, an OH yard shows 2 very low mile engines for a 97 E320 , ( 23,000 and 38,000 Miles ) The OH site shows the cars but having my MB dealer run them through the system turned up:

128,000 miles for the supposedly 23,000 one in early 2005 and

36,000 miles for the supposedly 38,000 one in early 2000.

The first one isn't real mileage, the second is possibly correct but too cloudy to be certain. In any event, the locals are aware this yard tends to not be so trustworthy, my phone conversations tend to give the impression they are unorganized. Given they are some distance away, I'm bailing on them.
