Usually this is quite a simple and easy thing to do in most cars as its obvious in terms of where all of the fixing are.

I am planning to remove the rear seats (as well as the 2 extra seats in the boot) on my W210 wagon, I can easily lift the seats up to be able to fold the rear seats flat, however I am looking to remove them from the car.

The rear seats are hinged, however I cannot see any bolts or obvious fixing that would need to be unbolted to remove them. I am guessing there might be fixing under the carpet, however I can't get the carpet up as the rear seats are in the way!

Is there a schematic somewhere that shows how the rear seats are fixed to the car - I am guessing that there is also battery access somewhere but I can't find that either.
