Back to the TV show. Did they ever say what started turning People into Zombies.

I thought that would be in the first Episode but it was not.

Then in the 4th Season in one of the Episodes there is a Scientist that is supposed to know the cause but won't say because it is supposed to be classified.

Besides the Comic Books there is supposed to be a set of Novals.
