Resolved! Simple as 'jerking' the mirror from its base then tightening the three Philips head screws. And yes, the mirror does indeed 'pull' off and 'push/pop' back on. I wasn't able to contort myself enough to get into a comfortable position to remount it so I had my son get in on the other side and he was able to do most of the pushing. (My recent rotator cuff surgery wasn't liking my exertion too well!) Thanks for the tips!
