Text-walkers evolve ‘protective shuffle' to prevent injuries - Telegraph
“Texting while walking significantly affects gait characteristics,” said lead author Sammy Licence of the University of Bath.
“While one might infer that these alterations in gait might increase the risk for tripping, our analysis showed no significant difference.
“Our results suggest that those who walk and text adopt a protective gait pattern alteration in order to minimize the risk of potential accidents.”
The study further noted that they slow down and can't maintain a straight path while texting . . . which is why they must die!
