You can buy the diaphragms only from George Murphy at performance analysis. I'm in the middle of a dash swap on my 83 TD and just finished the last diaphram yesterday. No more difficult than swapping out the whole pod. I don't think you can access the center vent pod without pulling the dash but maybe the others. The connection points can be pretty cramped and having the dash out definitely made things easier. Good luck
