93 190E alternator wiring

Hi. I bought an alternator from Amazon to replace a dying one. the Bosch alternator I have has one B+ post which has a loop connector on it with a bolt holding it down. the only other connector is a ground wire. the alternator I bought has spade connectors on it,1 B+ and 1 D+. It said that this one was supposed to fit my car. Can I just cut off the loop connector and crimp a female spade connector on it and plug it on the B+ terminal and leave the D+ unconnected? I would also connect the ground wire. I read that there are 1 wire alternators but just wondered. Thanks!
