The motor mounts are pnuematic vibration isolators and do "wear out" over time. The symptom is that you can feel the engine vibration coming thru the chassis and it is a very good idea to replace them. In addition have your chassis' other vibration isolators looked at as well, including the transmission, driveshaft and rear subframe isolators.
