I was going through the UK MB site and it seems that most if not all current Diesels have better performance numbers and get better mileage in automatic form. This includes the V-class van which in V220 CDI form does 0-62.5mph in 17.5sec with a stick and 14.9sec with a slushbox. Is this a UK thing or is shifting now a penalty?
