I'll reply, just to give you a bump back to the top and see if the experts chime in on value. I have a similar 240D, but not as clean as yours, and it's an auto trans. with around 170K miles. It's basically been turning into a barn find in my mom's garage for the last few years. I drive it every 3 months or so and it runs great. It's extremely well maintained, has working AC, and even changed the timing chain a few years back. That actually made a big improvement.

So, all systems working normally, no real leaks or deferred maintenance, zero rust, no rips/tears/cracks, etc. Never wrecked or hurt in any way. I still think I'd be lucky to get what paid for it ~ 10 years ago = $1,500. No telling what I've put into it over time, probably ~$4K or more............. These cars just don't have a lot of collector value it seems.

That said, it's still a fun car to drive. On a fall afternoon, touring the twisty roads of the Ozarks, nothing rides like a W123.

Good luck!

I believe each of these cars are the final production year for that model.
