If the only criteria you are using is the brand name, you haven't done enough research. Every tire has three consumer rating categories on the sidewall; tread wear, temperature range and traction. The tread wear number should be as high as you can get, but remember that the scale varies from mfg to mfg. if you are in a hot climate, try for an A temperature range.
