Why not start off like two businessmen and contacting him and telling him whats up?

No need to start with threats or attempting to throw some kind of internet weight around. You have no reason to assume he won't work with you.

Also, companies who make parts for the original manufacturer, say Mercedes, often won't make a mold with and and without the 'genuine' part number. So they manufacturer grinds off the part number for parts sold in their own packaging. What you're assuming is foul play, may actually be an indication you were sold a genuine part.

Why do we jump to negative conclusions so quickly.
