No, they didn't inform me that it was an aftermarket part. I was charged for an OEM part, not a reman part. The reman part is $250, OEM was closer to $400. I was charged $600 for the service, and waited 90 minutes while it was done at the dealer. My receipt states that they only use OEM parts.
I'm sure I have the ability to go further than *****ing them out, but I don't have the time nor the money to go that far. If they are pricks about it, I plan on bringing it all out in reviews on the internet.
I can't become too much of an Ahole...the dealership is 4 doors from my house. I see and talk to the mechanics from my back door in the mornings. Part of that don't crap in your backyard thing.
