FYI for the future, if it locks up and you can't get it free just order a new tumbler from the dealer. It will come with a new key and the brand new key will usually be able to turn the tumbler another couple times since it isn't worn out from 30 years of use. On both of my cars the tumbler needed to be replaced. The 85 gave warning, the 84 gave warning 2 turns before it locked up. I removed both of them at the first indication of trouble. The new ones screwed right into place. In the time between removal and replacement I was careful about where I parked.

Looks like your drill chuck kissed the dash a little, eh?
