the fan is not too bad.
I've read that you need a ground down box wrench to get in there. I was able to do it with an open end wrench.
get 4 new fan bolts just in case. they're available and cheap insurance in case you round off the old ones. I got mine out ok but opted to put new bolts in.
once the bolts are off, be careful pulling the fan assembly. when I did mine, I pulled hard to break it loose, and ended up banging it into the radiator and bending some fins. not a big deal since I was replacing the original radiator.
a piece of cardboard will give you a good buffer.
