Drove home from haircut and costco run. No issues.

Close to home accelerator pedal feels not so smooth. Never really feels smooth anyhow. So I pushed down and let off a lot thinking that was some benefit..............

Within 100 yards of my drive the pedal locks up and will not push down at all. Nothing.

I reached down and felt the pedal was apart from the metal piece sticking down behind the pedal.

I can push on the metal piece and accelerate the car but not with the pedal.

I did not have the heart to even look at it in the dark.

Is this a big think to manage?

I know light will help me understand the issue but I just had to ask......
