I know this seems like a dumb question, but have you verified that the radiator was re-filled after the repair?

My father once had a similar suprise after getting an oil change, but the joke was on the dealer..... to the tune of $4100.00 for new motor! It was the first (3000 mi) oil change.

If the hose is not getting warm, the coolant is not circulating... possible blockage or not full enough to circulate the fluid.

Worth checking if you haven't yet.
