you were spot on.

after the tank and lines were cleaned. found out that the fuel distributor pin(piston) is stuck. possibly the FD is gummed.

Will a FD from a 1983 Mercedes sec work on the 1978 450 slc?

the FD looks identical.

any thoughts?
