What a pain in the buttocks - especially for those of us without a lift. Think it is the same for a 126? I have a 1981 300SD and am having no start no sound problems which makes me think it is not the starter solenoid. For a while it would come back and start fine for months on end. Now nothing.

Serves me right. Let wife drive it for a whole day.
