I don't mind the street layout, in fact I like that it's very grid-like compared to Boston (Jesus that's a city to get lost in...). I just hate how I10 goes almost completely around the city. The roads use to be REALLY shot up with pot holes and bumps. They took some cash out of the coffers and repaved a bunch of roads with nice high quality asphalt. Now, the roads are enjoyable.
