A few years back I called RedLine to ask which one I should use in my '85 California wagon. They told me that if you have the old trap oxidizer (which I did then) you must use 85+. DFC will clog the oxidizer. According to the person I spoke with the two have almost the same performance with DFC having a different formula (and slightly more effective) antismoke ingredient. They also said the the newer trap catalysts can use either formula but since the two are so similar I have stuck with 85+ to be on the safe side.
