225/50R16 is WAYYYYY too big for a 190D. I had 205/60R15 on my 84 and they rubber on the fender lip. 225 16 inchers would rub all over the place. Way too big. My 195/55R15 tires are perfect. More rubber than stock, but not wide enough to rub the fender lip during full suspension compression. The same diameter as stock so the speedo is correct.
