It was joyous to have the car running for five minutes. The Christmas music on the radio was a pleasant surprise for me; one of those old songs that seemed appropriate at the moment.
The carburetor seems to be due a cleaning and rebuild. I bled plenty of air from the brake lines but they are still going soft. The engine sounds good. It will get an oil change before I actually drive it. I have many items on the list to do.
